In a world of GIFs and DMs, snail mail is a lost art. there's something special about creating your own cards. My cards have gotten progressively more involved - Here is a sampling.
Unlike every other year, My 2024 holiday cards weren't designed by me. Rather, they were a collection of postcards that I'd gathered over the years from various restaurants / places I visited with friends. Each postcard tells a unique story. Some have traveled home tucked in purses after a night out, while others bear the marks of the good times, with a bit of food residue. I began each personalized note with "I remember when" and followed with an anecdote about the meal we shared or day we had together!
This project celebrates the imperfect, the spontaneous, and the authentic, all while showcasing the timeless nature of memories that live on in print.
Holiday 2025: "THE GOOD STUFF" As someone that is running out of space on their fridge, I thought people might enjoy a fridge magnet to hold some of their memories.
Holiday 2024: "I REMEMBER WHEN..."
Holiday 2023: "WARM WISHES"
In collaboration with my sister's food blog, we sent mulling spice packet complete with instructions for how to enjoy a glass of mulled wine at home!
Holiday 2022: "HOLIDAY Cheer Both far and nEAR"
Pepperoni's infamous ears are the star of this card. There is a QR code to try out his ears for yourself in the form of an AR Meta filter!
Holiday 2021: "SEASONINGS GREETINGS"
The very first holiday with my new dog, Pepperoni! This year, my cards came in a mini pizza box like his namesake, complete with a photoshoot outside of my favorite local NYC pizza spot.
Holiday 2020: "SPREAD CHEER, NOT COVID"
This year, I partnered with the Angel Card Project to provide each recipient with the name and address of someone that wasn't able to spend the holidays with friends/family due to Covid. I included a separate card for each person to write to their pen pal!
Holiday 2019: "HOLIDAY CHEERS"
A fully functional flat mail coaster or all of my drinking buddies.
